National Express runs an hourly service to Gatwick airport from Brighton Pool Valley Bus Station where you can connect to a bus to Oxford. To get from Brighton to Oxford by train is more expensive than the bus. From Brighton Trafalgar street station there are plenty of trains to Oxford. They depart every 30 minutes throughout the day and late into the night. This is not a direct route and requires at least 2 changes, at either London Victoria or Reading, depending on the route you take. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and costs about 75 GBP return. The train departs from Brighton Trafalgar Street and arrives at Oxford train station.
If you are arriving or departing from Oxford by train, you will be using Oxford Train station in Park End Street. Oxford Train station is a 10 minute walk from the city centre and provides a good service to all national destinations.
