Details of where to stay in Oxford

oxford hotels

If there is one thing oxford is not short off, it is places to stay. Oxford is host to a whole range of accommodation from your traditional bed and breakfasts where you should be able to find a bed with breakfast included for £60+ per person per night, to the luxury of the Randolph hotel at more than £200 a night. Of course, you get what you pay for. Most of oxfords accommodation can be found stretching along the Woodstock road in the north through to the Abingdon road heading south, where customers can make use of the simple bus services that travel frequently to and from the centre of Oxford.

An alternative for the more adventurous tourist is to stay in an actual Oxford university college. Just call up your college of choice, perhaps Balliol college or Magdalen college, and you should be able to find a single room with a wash basin and daily housekeeping for roughly £20 to £70 per night, typically paid on arrival. When planning to stay in Oxford it is important to book well in advance, particularly during the peak summer months to ensure that there are plenty of rooms available.
