Thirst Lodge is a new addition to Oxford's clubbing scene in 2007. It was founded by Rob Opher, joint owner of the Thirst Bar, in Park End Street. It is located on a small back street called Pennyfarthing Place just behind the westgate shopping centre. The venue is split over three floors and open to 3am. The club itself is situated in the basement, but there are also a tapas bar and a cocktail bar on the other floors.

Interesting Facts
One of the newer clubs in Oxford so fairly untested in late 2007 although it is likely to be popular going by the success of the thirst bar.

Po Na Na is a very convenient club for the centre of Oxford. Once you have finished drinking on George Street you can nip around the corner to Magdalen Street and down the steps into Po Na Na for some late night revelling.

The Bridge club offers two large bars, a big dancefloor and Oxfords best soundsystem. As well as regular nights, the club is available for private hire for parties and to individual promoters. This club is handily placed for Oxford City Centre and just a short walk from the high street. It has a sister bar that faces on to Park End Street called Anuba which can be a good starting point for a night out.

Jongleurs is part of the national chain of comedy clubs. Prior to performances there is a bar open downstairs. Following the comedy act the seating area is converted into a disco which is open to the audience of the comedy club as well as other clubbers.

Never heard of it? Neither have the majority of students here, but this is Oxfords best kept secret nightclub. Hidden away near the ice rink is an underground world of drum & bass at Reload on Saturdays, with Fridays Loveshack catering for the gay population. Coven II remains almost exclusively for town rather than gown, however. The Coven II Club is an industrial style club slightly away from the city centre.Once inside the club you could be anywhere, at least when anywhere resembles a network of caves. This unusual layout allows a certain level of intimacy not offered to clubbers by other clubs... The interior is spiced up with a colourful dancefloor, balcony, podiums and stages. The Coven II club offers various nights and it is best to check their website for the latest information. We are not quite sure why it is called the Coven II as we are not aware of a Coven I?
