Originally established in 1961 but moving to its current location in 1975, the Arnolfini is a leading centre for contemporary arts in Europe. Right on the harbourside, in a former tea warehouse, the gallery is just off the city centre making access easy for all, whether you have just a few minutes to pop in, or all the time in the world to browse. Entry is free, so come and go as you please. There are five exhibition spaces and an auditorium for films or plays, meaning that the Arnolfini is able to host a huge variety of performance events, talks and displays in any contemporary art form. There is an impressive book shop onsite, and a cafe bar.
